Playlists & mixtapes

Make a mixtape

Fill Side A and Side B of a C-60, C-90 or C-120, then save the cover.

Start a mixtape

  1. Click the + next to Playlists and choose New Mixtape… Or right-click songs, an album or a folder and choose Add to Playlist › New Mixtape… to start with them.
  2. Name it and click Create. A new mixtape is a C-60 with the name on its label.

Record songs onto it

Add songs with Add to Playlist › (your mixtape) from any song, album or folder menu. Songs fill Side A until half the tape is used, then go on Side B. Each side shows its running time against the limit, and turns red with “too long” if it doesn’t fit.

Arrange the sides

  • Hover a song to see Move up, Move down, Move to Side B (or Move to Side A) and Remove from mixtape.
  • Click Balance Sides to move the split so both sides are about the same length, keeping your running order.

Design the label

Click Label (or the cassette picture) to set the Label text, a Note (printed on the cover), the Tape length (C-60, C-90 or C-120: 30, 45 or 60 minutes a side) and the Colour. Changes save automatically.

Play it and share it

  • Play plays Side A, then flips to Side B. The cassette view shows your label and turns the tape over.
  • Save Cover saves a PNG of the cassette with both track lists, ready to share or print.
  • Copy Files and Export to Folder… put the whole mixtape on a pen drive in order. See Copy songs to a pen drive.
